Choosing a doula that is right for you is very important. I will meet with you to determine whether or not we are the right 'fit'. This meeting is informal and carries no obligation.

When you choose to hire me I like to meet 2 times in your home (approximately two hours per visit) so that we may get to know each other. At each meeting I go over information and ask questions that help you prepare for labour and the arrival of your baby. During this time we address any questions or concerns that you have. I welcome the participation of your partner or any one else who may be present at your birth.

Immediately upon hiring me I become your personal resource. I am available via email and telephone to answer your questions and offer guidance.

As back-up I work with a group of equally experienced doulas. We offer a “meet the doula” night to allow our clients to meet all of us. This is an informative evening and a great chance to meet other pregnant families.

Around the 38th week of your pregnancy, I consider myself on call 24/7 for you and your birth. I appreciate being notified as soon as you are in labour. Early labour can be an exciting and confusing time. It is important that we stay in touch so that I can help you feel relaxed and confident.

When you feel the need for extra labour support I come to you and stay for the remainder of your labour and until all is well after the arrival of your baby. During this time I help with both your physical and emotional needs. I can also work with your partner and offer suggestions that allow them to participate at their comfort level.

After the delivery I assist with immediate breastfeeding support and then help you and your family settle in and prepare for rest.

During the 1-2 post partum visits I will make sure nursing is going well and your healing is on track. I answer any questions you have about being a new parent and connect you with resources in your community. I then help bring closure to your experience and look forward to future updates of your progress. I am available as a resource for you throughout your breastfeeding and parenting journey.

My fee is $800.00

CLASSES

Birthing From Within offers a unique approach to the birthing process. Couples explore their inner knowing and fears and work to balance them out. Class size is small which allows time for everyone to have an opportunity to ask questions and connect with others. I love being a part of Dancing Star Birth to bring these amazing classes to so many.

Another gem I am so excited to offer is Mothers Unfolding. These mothering circles are for your mind, heart and spirit with your new baby.The classes are 6 weeks of unearthing who we become as a woman as we transition into motherhood. Other topics include:

* Finding Balance ~ Baby, Home, Love, Work, Life
